I usually like to pretend everything is just peachy in my writing. I started a piece a few days ago about all the things I don't write about, but I doubt I end up publishing it just because it feels too vulnerable. I really do hate those days when every connection goes awry, and some days just feel like that. I step on my husband's toes, I hurt my son's feelings, I offend a colleague, I miss an opening with a student. All I can say is, thank goodness for CATS.Elisabeth Ellingtonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00747914394861199796noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4665032970885491236.post-8935626055336311772018-03-15T06:37:25.437-07:002018-03-15T06:37:25.437-07:00This was the most heartfelt slice I've read ye...This was the most heartfelt slice I've read yet, and you are amazing for posting it. You pretty much took the words right out of my mouth. What makes you even more amazing is the fact that even after all that, you still got up today and wrote again. You still got up and went to work and smiled and did your best. Sometimes even that is a struggle, and I applaud the fact that you did it. Thank you for sharing such an amazing, truthful, powerful slice today.Ms. Haury's Blog Loghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09336030568246071868noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4665032970885491236.post-4661500768087183802018-03-15T06:33:57.063-07:002018-03-15T06:33:57.063-07:00I'm so sorry you had a day like that. It just plain sucks.

And all this is brave. Because opening yourself up like this, sharing the ugliness of your day and then coming back and facing it is courageous. I hope today has some smiles in store :)Deb Dayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00861392500601183208noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4665032970885491236.post-9451950602238713842018-03-15T06:03:28.108-07:002018-03-15T06:03:28.108-07:00Thanks goodness there is always a next day for a d...Thanks goodness there is always a next day for a do over or to make amends. We are still a week away from Spring Break, and tensions are high at my school, too. And we are doing P-T conferences. You are not alone. Many of us are experiencing 'those days' right about now. Thank you for sharing from a place of honesty- even when you feel rejected. Your writing is excellent, and even tho I am just one person- you connected with something in me. I hope your day is much better today. Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
