Clocks changed,
Alarm set,
Ready for Monday.
Bleep, Bleep, Bleep!
Great, buzzer not music jars me awake.
Hit the snooze,
Switch to music,
Slip back to sleep.
Oh, no!
No alarm,
Overslept.
Rush downstairs,
Make coffee,
No time to write now.
Shower,
Dress,
Hair and make-up.
Get the kids up,
Breakfast is served.
Grab the bread,
Spread the jelly,
Make it Mickey Mouse.
Throw in applesauce,
Cucumbers,
Chocolate milk and
an ice pack.
Zip!
One lunch down,
One to go.
"Are you dressed?"
"We gotta go!"
Snatch up lunch,
purse,
and a bag that weighs too much.
Wait!
Where are my glasses?
Where are my keys?
Fly out the door
And to the car.
Start the engine,
Put it in gear.
Off we go!
Gonna make it right on time.
Now all that's left
Is to remember how to
Breathe.
