cloaking branches
in newness.
Pink and white fireworks
explode up and down the streets
against
brilliant blue skies,
not a cloud in sight.
The day sparkles
in glowing invitation.
It's too beautiful a day
to be wasted on
laundry
and
cleaning
and
grocery shopping
and
lesson planning
and
the correcting of papers.
It's a day
made for
walking
and
planning
and
wandering
and
dreaming.
It's a day
made
to be enjoyed
and
lived to the fullest.
